We have snow and there's quite a lot of it too! It arrived overnight Saturday (Sunday morning's photos above) and has fallen ever since.

I love snow, the kids love snow, the dogs (we have mum and dad's just now) love snow, John loves snow.....but sometimes you can have too much of a good thing, and we might have reached that point.

The boys haven't had school so far this week (and since it's still snowing today I'm not sure tomorrow or Friday will be any different). It is lovely to spend time with them and, mostly, we are having a lovely time. BUT I have masses of sewing to do. Some orders to fulfill plus my own Christmas presents to make. And I'm not really getting a chance to work at any of it.

So, I'm trying not to get wound up about it. I can always work some really late nights if things don't settle down soon. And, after all, snow is sooooooo fun! We have sledged and made a snowman and generally messed around.

Thanks very much for your comments on my last post where I put out a plea for advice. They were a great help, or will be when I can get working at the quilt properly!.

I'm guessing there are quite a few posts along the same theme across blogland and I'm hoping to have a few minutes just now to catch up with everyone else. Hope you are having fun and winter isn't making things too complicated.
A pair of goosander - there's often a few along the river, they usually turn up late autumn and spend the winter here. They are known as 'sawbill' as their beaks are long and thin and serrated - all the better for catching fishies!

Yeay, snow! We've enough but not too much, not so bad in the west as in the east. I soooo want to go for a walk in the woods with my camera but can't - too far for grumpy N!
Anne - I know that feeling! Juliex
Lovely photos, but I think I would enjoy them more if I hadn't been staring at the damn stuff all week! Enough already!
We have had too much too. The boys have been off since Friday and go out to play, get wet and cold and them come in crying, then as soon as they are warm adn dry they want to be out again!
Mrs Mad - that is a familiar story! Juliex
Lovely pictures Julie, I am so jelous we just don't get proper snow here, they say it because we are to near the coast, don't know how that works but hay ho..My children have never really had proper snow (not like we had as children living on the Cumbrian fells)and get so excited at the tiniest little flurry ! Enjoy the rest of your week x
Maria - that's quite a shame, poor kids! Juliex
Gorgeous photos.
You really have had loads of snow.
We've only had a couple of inches which has mainly all turned into ice now, which is nice!!
Hope you find some time to sew soon

Lovely photos. We too have had the kids at home from school all week and like you I'm struggling to get any sewing done. Looks like we have a warmer day here tomorrow so maybe it'll all disappear? Hey-ho, figure it's a once a year thing here in Kent so trying to go with the flow and stay relaxed (ish). Bethx
Beth - yes, I've been determined to stay relaxed too but my veneer of self-control was wearing a bit thin today! Julie
