Splash of Colour - December

I'm going to cheat a little since there's no colour outside apart from white. I took a few photos around 10 days ago when the snow first started falling and they seem to fit the Splash of Colour theme perfectly (but it was still November, just)....thought I'd better be honest.

Of course, I could have just stuck with indoor pictures but I'm such an outdoor person that wouldn't feel right and also my indoor ones aren't very good as the light is almost non-existent. Oh well.

I hope you enjoy them. It has certainly made me look around more carefully and spot how many bright and cheery things are lying around the house - several are sewing projects waiting to be finished! I am managing to make some progress with my sewing list but I'm not nearly as far ahead as I'd like to be. I'm sure I'll get there in the end though.

Hope you are managing to find some colour around you too. I'd also recommend you have a look at flickr to see some of the wonderfully creative, and very colourful photos, that are being posted. And Emma, at silverpebble, is keeping a master list of who is joining in.

Splash of colour

Sorry for yesterday's moan. Really, what was I thinking of? How can I fuss about mess when the end result will be so good? Well, it seems I can...I still haven't had a chance to clean-up properly after yesterday's devestation but I'm determined to ignore it, and not let it stress me, until I have done much more important things - like blogging...oh, and making some lunch for my three lovely children (we don't have school on Friday afternoons around here, they get longer days for the rest of the week instead - I really enjoy our Friday afternoons together).

So blogging had better be quick, and having given my apology for being so moany I just wanted to share some colourful cheery pictures. I thought I'd join the 'Splash of Colour' group that Emma from silverpebble is organising - and there is a flickr group, with some lovely photos, here. She is doing it as a way of brightening winter. I have to say I don't mind winter too much but I do love colur so I thought I'd join in. I did hesitate a bit as some of the photos are wonderful but then I thought what the h***, I won't learn unless I try.
