Sorry for yesterday's moan. Really, what was I thinking of? How can I fuss about mess when the end result will be so good? Well, it seems I can...I still haven't had a chance to clean-up properly after yesterday's devestation but I'm determined to ignore it, and not let it stress me, until I have done much more important things - like blogging...oh, and making some lunch for my three lovely children (we don't have school on Friday afternoons around here, they get longer days for the rest of the week instead - I really enjoy our Friday afternoons together).

So blogging had better be quick, and having given my apology for being so moany I just wanted to share some colourful cheery pictures. I thought I'd join the 'Splash of Colour' group that Emma from silverpebble is organising - and there is a flickr group, with some lovely photos, here. She is doing it as a way of brightening winter. I have to say I don't mind winter too much but I do love colur so I thought I'd join in. I did hesitate a bit as some of the photos are wonderful but then I thought what the h***, I won't learn unless I try.

The pictures are great Julie, love the one of the windmills..:)
Love the windmills. I am also very envious of a Friday afternoon with my children. Moan away, we all need somewhere to let off steam
Mrs Mad - thanks, I try not to moan too much, but every now and then I just have to give in to the urge to, as you say, let off steam. Juliex
oh hey , no need to apologise , we all moan - me especially lol. Hope you have a lovely weekend
A lovely splash of colour! Soon the mess you mentioned in your previous post will be a distant memory! Have a lovely weekend and good luck with the blind. I have a curtain to make and I keep putting it off too! x
Good to see you joining in with the splash of colour. I always worry about my photos too! And as for moaning ... heck ... I've been whinging all week. That's the thing about blogging ... you can let of steam and nobody minds. I find it a good safety valve!
Have a good weekend. Love Kathy xxx
Enjoy your woodstove. We had one put in 2 years ago and winter evenings in the living room are completely different. It is important, though, that it is properly fitted; our chimney is old and hadn't been used for many years so had to be lined and sealed but the peace of mind is worth it. The wait will be worth it.
... tramp
Tramp - you are quite right, that is partly why it has been so expensive, and also slow.....and yes, the wait will be worth it! Our chimney is very old and has had to be re-lined as well as sealing the flue from the stove once it is in. Julie
