Time, where does it go? I don't know. What I do know is that not much of it is coming my way just now.
Last Sunday we set out for a woodland walk despite the looming rain clouds.
At the last minute the children asked if we could take the stove to make hot chocolate. We weren't organised enough for that but did mange to make a flask to bring with us.
It was very wet and muddy, suiting everyone expect, perhaps, me who would always prefer not to have too much extra washing. I do try to just let them get on with it but I can't help wincing when the slips and falls start.
When the rain came on particularly hard we sheltered under a big old beech tree and drank our hot chocolate. It was delicious and just what we needed. It didn't take long before we were getting pretty wet through the tree so there wasn't much option but to set off again.
We were very wet by the time we got back to the car but it was a fun walk and just what we needed.
We set off next day for Northumberland to spend a few nights away with John's parents. It was mostly wet there too but we had a great time. More later - perhaps, and, yes, the giveaway is still planned. I'm just hoping that one day soon some of my time starts going a bit further.

Aren't you good to set off with your little ones in the rain, glad you had a nice day.
I can relate to the lack of time! I find it hard enough with one, let alone any more so well done for being so organised xx
My goodness even in the rain I want to be there... Looks wonderful, and well done you for not minding tooo much bout the (I'm guessing) muddy breeks!
This was a bit like us yesterday minus the hot chocolate - what a great idea!
Have a good week.

I was always dragging my children out in all weathers when they were small - I have less success with this now they are great big teenagers! Good job the dogs don't mind a bit of wet.
I love seeing your family walks and the woods is the place to go in Autumn! Poor you with lots of extra washing.

It flies when you're having fun i believe ;o) I'm kind of alternating between feeling like I'm away here in a vacuum, and not having enough time to catch up with things o.O
I too love that you dragged the kids out, I walk in all weathers but M wont walk in any!! Sadly, walking is just not his thing. I'm still impressed that Felix came on my last rainy walk when we were in Yorkshire, there's hope yet ;) I bet that hot chocolate tasted good. Beth (thelinencat) x
It is very wet and foggy here, we did try a walk in the woods and I ended up on my backside as the leaves are slippery!
