:: Kids races, they all did well*
:: Waiting, quite some time, for mummy:: Finishing the Stavely 17km Challenge Race - very tired but happy. One day I'll have the time to train properly! I must keep going over the next few months even without a run looming over me to scare me into action.
:: We camped overnight at a lovely little campsite - Pound Farm. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a laid back campsite in that part of the Lakes - the camping area is small and in a quiet wee spot......don't be put off by the cabins etc shown on the website!
:: Exploring Lake Mindermere early the next day, before the crowds arrived!
*I think Katie is probably the most observant of our children and she is very quick to pick up on what is going on around her. The bigger kids were each given a number to pin to their tops for their races (as was I of course). Katie picked up one of their numbers once they were finished and held it on her tummy in the right place - I pinned it on for her and as soon as I had she set off running! She obviously felt she should be racing too.

17k well done you. That is amazing. Looks idyllic
Oh how cute, Katie is a clever little thing! All your children look like they had a brilliant time near the lake, really lovely pictures...I especially like the one of Katie reaching out to the boats! Well done as well for doing the race, you must be proud :) Safxxx
Well done you! I'm not allowed to run, or really do anything high impact, but I can't wait for another couple of months when I can get back to climbing again
Well done - a great achievement and that campsite looks lovely. Julie x
Well done on the race! That looks like a lovely place to stay.
Well done you on the race! I think I would have been in the back of an Ambulance before the end! Great photos and how observant of your youngest!

Gosh, 17K, well done! I've only ever run 5k and I was so ridiculously chuffed with myself then.
Thats great a 17k run. I like the look of you camping area, so very pretty.
Well done you! And what lovely pics of that corner of the Lakes :)
Congratulations in running 17km what an achievement, I am so impressed. Fantastic images of you all too in a spectacular scenery. Katie sounds as if she is taking after you!

Well done! I'm rubbish at running - my body wasn't designed to run, but walk...I love walking...and exploring - the lakes look just as gorgeous as I remember.

Well done!! I couldn't run 5K at the moment let alone any further. M has his first iron man this weekend, he's been training for ages and is quite nervous, I am in full admiration for others ability to train and compete, wish I could get my head around it, I love a good walk, will bike ride, run at a push but I'd struggle to do more.
