A quick Saturday morning walk at Lennoxlove - just a few minutes drive from our house (and often on my running route.....although I haven't been out for a few weeks thanks to a horrible cold which has only just finally gone). The colours were beautiful. The trees were beautiful. It was very good to be out.
Our weekends have become so busy lately that we haven't had many proper family walks. I don't know what to do about it. I feel that it is really important to get out together. None of us are short of fresh air and exercise - but walking and exploring together, and in the countryside away from roads and other people, is much harder to manage these days. I suppose we just need to take the opportunity whenever we can and also make the most of school holidays.
I hope you have managed to see some beautiful colours this autumn too. Do you struggle to fit in all the things you'd like to do? And, do you have a solution? Please let me know if you do!

This looks like a stunning place to walk Julie, I'm glad you all got to have a little break/ walk together, its good to get away from day to day life and just enjoy things sometimes isn't it. I never have enough time for the many things I'd like to do (walking included), if I ever find a solution I shall let you know! Hope you are feeling better now and wishing you lots more walks soon, Safxxx
Looking at your photos I was just thinking how nice it was to see the children of various ages exploring together.
I too live in a lovely part of Scotland, enjoying spectacular views but find myself more and more only enjoying them through the windows.
We are trying to do something outside every weekend, no matter whether it is just time in the garden or a long walk. And if we're home before it gets dark at 4:30 we have the intention of getting out, but haven't done it at all yet.
Hope you find a solution to family together time outdoors!
Lovely Autumnal images... I have missed seeing these colours and kicking leaves this year... so great to share your walk... Cx
Beautiful place to go :-) Cant help with the time management suggestions I'm afraid, I've no idea how you squeeze in all that you do! I can see why you'd feel its so important though, one family trip. Hope you figure it out!! x
Glad you're feeling better, I think I'm suffering the same cold, I just can't get rid of my cough, it's terrible!
Lovely scenes from your weekend. I agree it is so important to get out and have time to play and explore together. My 'family' is only Dave and I, and I think it's important just for us, but more so if we had little people! It can be so hard to make time for those days sometimes, but I think whatever you can fit in would suffice, I guess some weeks are better than others for it.
I glad you like us, managed to get out and enjoy a woodland too last weekend. We always make sure we have quality time ( even if it is only hour) to spend time together.

For some reason I have the Wombles theme going through my head looking through these pics, I suspect it was the crawling under the log that did it (you know, underground, overground, wombling free...)
Anywho, good luck with finding the solution for fitting everything in, and when you do, let me know, 'kay?
Such a pretty place for a walk and so close to your home. Glad you made the time.
