Islay had her swine flu vaccination, or prickle, this afternoon. The name 'prickle' has stuck in our house ever since Finn decided that's what his 4 yr old MMR was going to feel like.
So this morning, after a bit of anxiety about the impending prickle and having decided it was inevitable and she'd have to go along with it, Islay asked 'where is the prickle shop?'.
Well, she was very brave at our visit to the prickle lady (aka our GP) and got her reward/bribe in the form of a lolly. Its amazing what a little one will put themself through when promised as many cuddles as they want AND a lolly.
The photo was taken this morning at about 8am. Islay had asked that I put the light on in her room which I did and then, somewhat naively, left her to her own devices. She came to find me 5 minutes later looking very pleased with herself. I steeled myself to leave her hair accessories as they were for the school run, since she'd clearly tried very hard, but thankfully things started falling out before we left the house and I was able to whittle it all down to one hairband! Phew.
