Weekending in (mostly) pictures

Some pictures from the weekend.  John  is away so I reckoned we all needed to keep busy.  Although Lily had other ideas......... she is very little, I don't think she will ever be a big cat.
It is hard work being so much loved by four little people!
Friday after school kitchen cuddles from big brother Angus.
Katie is someone else in our house who is very much adored.  She is growing up to believe it is normal to have an adoring crowd.
Fish and chips supper at North Berwick.  Very windy.  Looking at the Bass Rock out to sea.
From our table - east along the coast.
And the other way - west along the coast
Too windy for anyone else at the Rocketeer Restaurant.  We were planning to go to The Lobster Shack but it was closed.
Isn't it a beautiful town?
Cutting paper for papier mache.
Gluing papier mache.  I used the glue recipe (rather than my usual flour and water which is okay but not brilliant) from Handmade Home.
Trying to dry.....it has taken a few days in this damp weather!
Yay - finished.  I covered the template bowls in tin foil before layering on the paper.  It should have peeled off once the paper was dry but it didn't want to so the bowls are foil lined - oh well.
Filled with biscuits decorated by the children.  End of term (Friday, yay) presents for teachers.  Just need to decorate some paper bags now.
Bit more fresh air.
A walk in the woods next to the house I grew up in.
I love it there - and miss living in the countryside.  One day.

Ooops, just realised I wasn't an official follower - have now fixed that!
Our cat seems very small too, I think they're not fully grown till they're about two.
I've been to North Berwick for tea once. It was during a stay in Gullane for a wedding when our car broke down and we had to get towed home. Would like to go back one day, perhaps we'll go for a day trip these holidays if the weather ever improves...

I loved your photos of the North Berwick despite it being overcast.

I love picture posts like this... it makes me feel like I could have been right there with you all, you know?

The bowls look great, I'm sure the teachers will love them. How can it be nearly the end of term already?

Those woods look wonderful, how lucky you were to grow up so close!
