Indulging myself

Since we now have a  beautiful new nephew I am very conscious that my gorgeous littlest girl is just that -  a girl, still a toddler but definitely not a baby now.  That brings a little pang to my heart.  I wouldn't want her any other way and she is growing up, just like her big sister and brothers, to be a special person in her own right - but she is, most certainly, growing up.
So, I thought that I'd indulge myself with a few of my favourite recent photos of my funny, cheeky, happy little girl.
Her very favourite thing - apart, perhaps, from reading books and playing chasing and tickling games with all the bigger people in her family - is stomping around outside.  She really is very happy indeed to be allowed the freedom to explore and run and burn off some of her energy.  In fact, if I forget to close the backdoor when I'm actually intending for us to come inside then I'm in big trouble because she'll be out in the garden like a shot and will not want to come inside.
Sorry for this little midweek foray into soppiness.  I just want to hang onto these precious toddler memories as long as possible.
I'll be back later in the week, I hope, with a proper finished sewing project.  In the meantime I hope you have lovely sunshine like we do.

She's growing up quickly and it's lovely to see K's smile (as always!). Bethx

It always lovely to see photos of your children. Katie looks as if she has grown so much lately. She looks so independent walking in the garden.

Sarah - I just had to comment in reply to your message. How I wish that was out garden but sadly ours is very small and not nearly so pretty! This one is just at the end of our street, so only 2 minutes walk away and we visit often. Juliex

Lovely photos. I'm sure you'll be appreciate that you captured all these moments when she's older and you can look back on them. I can remember when you announced that you were pregnant - it's hard to believe that baby is a little girl now!

They are little for such a short time, we need to enjoy each moment with them.

Such a cute toothy grin - she does look like a proper toddler now. Love that photo of her asleep.

No need to apologise! She's lovely. My littlest will be starting school in Aug, how time flies!

She really is such a cutie Julie :) I especially love the pic of her sleeping in your lovely patchwork blanket! And her smile is so sweet, how lovely that she loves to roam outside, just like her mum :) safxxx
